Kaitlin Johannsen

Mrs. Johannsen joined the NCS team as guidance counselor in 2018 on contract while working for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. She has been volunteering and working in the mental health field for almost ten years. Mrs. Johannsen’s first experience was serving as a counselor at Royal Family Kids Camp, a Christian camp provided for abused and neglected foster children. From then on, it was confirmed the passion God had put in her heart. She has worked behavior health intervention services in-home, has provided therapy at a Christian college and worked in other community settings. Mrs. Johannsen currently works as a mental health counselor for a private practice in Pella-Grace Counseling, Inc. Mrs. Johannsen also serves Oskaloosa and Sully Christian schools as their guidance counselor. 


Mrs. Johannsen enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, reading and watching movies. She has been married to her husband Brendan since 2018. They reside in Newton with their two dogs, Stella & Milly.
