After School Programs

After School Clubs

After school clubs are offered to create opportunity to develop hobbies, skills and social interaction.  Clubs are supervised by parent or teacher volunteers and are offered several times each semester.  The following are examples of clubs NCS has offered: drama, chess, sewing, ping pong, book/movie club, sports trading card club and nursing home visitation club.

After School Enrichment

High-achieving students in grades 1-4 are invited to take part in an after school program designed to academically challenge them.  Students delve into an area of the curriculum and collaborate to be International Investigators, Science Mythbusters or Awesome Authors.  This program has been facilitated by parent volunteers along with teaching staff. ISU extension staff have led the sessions investigating robots, energy, animal life and other exciting subjects with the students.

Students learned to build and shoot rockets.
