The supernatural divine inspiration of the Bible as the only infallible Word of God, authoritative for our relation to God, to our fellowman, and to the universe. 4.The sovereignty of God in all spheres of life. 5. The deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless nature and life, his miracles, his atonement for our sins by his blood sacrifice on the cross, his bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return in glory. 6. The depravity of the human heart, and the need of personal regeneration by the Holy Spirit. 7. The resurrection of all men:--the redeemed to the resurrection of eternal life, and the unbeliever to the resurrection of eternal damnation. 8.The spiritual unity of all believers in Christ Jesus. Top of Page Training to a Higher Standard   At Newton Christian School we strive to incorporate Christ and biblical truth into our entire curriculum. During chapels, all students join together to worship God in prayer, singing and devotions. Throughout all aspects of their education, students are challenged to pursue excellence--academically, morally and spiritually. One of the ways in which we achieve academic excellence is to make the "basics" a priority in our curriculum. This includes teaching phonics in our reading program and facts in our math program. The multi-grade classrooms and low student-teacher ratio allow individualized instruction and cooperative learning experiences. Our students, beginning in kindergarten and continuing through eighth grade are encouraged to develop disciplined study habits that will serve them through life.   Top of Page     Providing Quality Education   The Newton Christian School was started in 1957 by parents who wanted the school day to be an extension of the the values their children were learning at home and in the Christian community. This parent-directed school, representing more than fifteen churches in the community, is governed by a nine-member board.
