After School Enrichment

Students learned to build and shoot rockets.

High-achieving students in grades 1-4 are invited to take part in an after school program designed to academically challenge them.  Students delve into an area of the curriculum and collaborate to be International Investigators, Science Mythbusters or Awesome Authors.  This program has been facilitated by parent volunteers along with teaching staff.  In 2015, ISU extension staff led the sessions investigating robots, energy, animal life and other exciting subjects with the students.  In 2016, ISU extension staff worked with students to plant a butterfly garden.
